Crosby and Mabel's Wedding

On 4 September, my parents and I went to the hotel late but we quickly went in. We were told to go up to Level 2 for the tea ceremony. But first I registered myself at level 1 and wrote my wishes. At level 2, I witness my parents for the tea ceremony. Then after the tea ceremony, we went down to the Royal Pavilion room at Regent Hotel for lunch. I did not have a good experience as my uncle want me to lose weight. I got unhappy and want to talk to someone but did not get to. The food was delicious. We had vegetable, Ee fu noodles, abalones and so on. The videos that were shown is good as it reminded me of their childhood. A lifetime experience to remember.

Medical certificate

I was on mc for two days and now three days. I had a swab test at Siglap Secondary school yesterday and it was negative. I had a little headache today. Hope that I will recover soon and go to work. 

Sea aquarium outing

I went to Sea aquarium on 18 June for a short outing. We went there by bus and we reached there about 8:50am in the morning. We went in to see fishes and explore different animals.

Yati sat with me in the bus throughout. We talked a bit in the bus. We took this photo after the trip on the way back. All in all, the trip has been quite meaningful and I bought a landyard for myself. 

Cookie Packer job

I started working on 17 May to pack cookies. I have both good and bad experience. I tried to pack as many as I can. I remember once I was late for tea break and it was not pleasant. I tried my best to come back early in future. I can be quite careless but I tried my best not to make mistakes. I packed about 6 stackes of cookies today. I improved so much since day 1. I worked for two weeks already and counting. My contract is until 31st January. Looking forward to more.

Goals

I want to have a stable job, be loved and loved in return and also buy a new house for myself and my parents. Take care of my parents needs. 

Job

I work as an accounts clerk for three days at a warehouse. However, I was not very suitable for the job. I did some simple task in an office. I felt a bit sad that I have to leave but I will find a new job soon. Fighting! 

Studies break

I have completed two modules so far. It is very intensive. The project has been a big milestone for me. Although there are some parts of the lesson that are challenging to understand, nevertheless I still try to do all my assignments. I look forward to the upcoming modules

Soulful and Savvy 1st Year

Its 1st October today which means I am one year in toastmaster. I have been looking forward to this day. I was told that my club do not celebrate first year of joining which I really hoped they could. Its strange that I do not feel sad. I have been in the club for one year but I barely know the people there. I am actually open to meeting people. 1st Anniversary in Toastmaster

Its been a year 🎉🎉 Hooray. I been through a lot of hurdles, obstacles and nothing stands in my way. My favourite segment is of course table topics. I am known as the champion girl. Its a miracle that I can sustain for one year. I actually wanted to leave along the way but I still stayed on. I am the SAA now. Woohooo. Many more years to come

Online education

I have been learning online and I am grateful to have many mentors who provides me with free trainings in email and Facebook group. I learn about mindset and a little bit about content creation every single day. I am still figuring out what I want to do for my career. I am upleveling by learning and gaining knowledge

Volunteer Singing at Yishun Hospital

I have volunteered in the hospital since May this year. It has been a fruitful experience. I have been singing in front of so many patients. I can sing better in groups now. My experience in toastmasters give me confidence to sing to a big audience. However, one of the patient looked at me in a weird way when I first came. I told the volunteer in charge about it. She said that the patient may be cannot bear us leaving after we sing. I look forward to volunteer at Yishun hospital every first Saturday and second Saturday of the month

Toastmaster journey

I have been in toastmaster for 8 months. There is a lot of great things happening for me. I have improved by leaps and bounds. The audience cheered whenever I went up for table topics. I am the first one to go up for table topics. I have been to several clubs such as NUS, NTU, Chong Pang, Tampines Changkat, AIA, Pasirisian and so on. I learn to speak good English by the language evaluator. I also learn to connect with the audience and not to go out of time.
